Author shares her own personal stories in these quake sequences, and also shares stories from over a dozen of her friends who were in these quakes as children and adults. The author fills out these personal stories about the quakes with news reports and other archival documents she has collected from these emergencies. Author also speaks about the 2001 Nisqually quake in Seattle which she was in. Also included in this book are instructions for earthquake preparation, things to do before, during and after quakes, earthquake history and legends, and also educational resources for teachers and parents about earthquakes, geologic time lines and other quake related topics.Author Kirsten Anderberg received her BA Degree from the University of WA in Seattle and her MA Degree in CA History from CA State University at Northridge. She lives in Ventura and still experiences earthquakes and tsunamis where she lives regularly.
